Project Description

PVB (polyvinyl butyral) filament from ROSA3D is a polymer that enables you to achieve impressive looking, transparent or very smooth prints.
The surface of the finished print can be smoothed with isopropyl alcohol. The ease of printing with PVB filament makes it suitable even for 3D printing beginners.

PVB is characterised by low shrinkage and lack of odour. Its mechanical properties rank between PET-G and PLA.

The possibility of achieving a smooth, transparent structure makes this filament perfect for printing a wide range of aeasthetically pleasing objects, such as vases, sculptures, or lampshades. After IPA smoothing, PVB figurines look as if they have been taken out of an injection mould.

PVB filament is highly hygroscopic therefore it should be stored in airproof container. To assure best possible print quality filament should be dryed ( 45°C, 4-8 h) before printing.

HOW TO PRINT

HOW TO PRINT

Recommended printing temperature: 200-225°C
Recommended table temperature: 65-75°C
Recommended cooling: 50-100%

Filament does not require a heated bed or chamber. In case of problems with adhesion, we recommend the use of an adhesive agent. It is recommended to enable print cooling. Fan speed should be adjusted according to printer capabilities and geometry of the printed object.
